CAT VANISHES FOR SIX HOURS, FOUND INSIDE THE COUCH THE ENTIRE TIME

AA household-wide emergency that consumed most of a Saturday ended in confusion Sunday when a missing cat named Biscuit was discovered inside the living room couch, a location she had occupied without interruption for approximately six hours.

The alarm was raised at dawn when Biscuit failed to appear for breakfast, an event her family described as "unprecedented and deeply alarming." A full search commenced. Closets were opened. Cabinets were checked. Neighbors were notified. One resident walked the block calling her name while shaking a bag of treats.

Throughout the entire operation, Biscuit was inside the couch.

"We looked on the couch," said a spokesperson for the household, visibly exhausted. "We sat on the couch. I made three phone calls sitting directly on top of her. She said nothing. She gave no sign. She let us panic."

The breakthrough came in the early afternoon when a family member noticed the couch was "purring."
